Gen 3 closeout deals are excellent value — same core platform, slightly less adjustability. Look for 2024 Gen 3 at significant discounts.

Aluminum Top Fuel 8 has the same 4-position Mino Link and geometry as carbon — weight penalty is ~0.5-1.5 kg.

Expanded 130mm/140mm configuration requires a separate longer-stroke shock — not included.

Gen 4 uses threaded BSA bottom bracket, resolving creaking issues from press-fit BBs on earlier Treks.
