Canyon Stitched on brändi hüppemäe- ja slopestyle-platvorm, mis käivitati 2014. aastal Canyon'i panusena kasvavasse freestyle MTB segmenti, mitte UCI-spetsifikatsiooniga 20-tollise võidusõidu BMX-ina. See on ehitatud 26-tolliste rataste, 100 mm vedrustusega jäiga või lühikese vedrustusega kahvli, agressiivse madala alumiiniumraami ja ühekäigulise jõuülekande ümber ning on suunatud pump-track'i sõitjatele, hüppemäe hüppajatele ja slopestyle'i võistlejatele. 2025-2026 aasta valikus on sisenemismudel Stitched 360 hinnaga 999 € koos Manitou Circus Sport kahvliga, Stitched 360 CLLCTV hinnaga 1 499 € koos RockShox Pike DJ kahvliga ja kõrgema klassi süsinikust Stitched CFR Trial hinnaga 2 499 €, mis on välja töötatud koostöös Austria tänava-triali ja slopestyle'i sportlase Fabio Wibmeriga. Platvorm on teadlik alternatiiv peavoolu BMX-i brändidele (Sunday, Fit, Cult, WeThePeople) ja slopestyle'i spetsialistidele (NS Bikes, DMR, Saracen) ning üks vähestest hüppemäe jalgratastest, mida müüakse endiselt otse tarbijale suunatud hinnakujundusega.
Tehnilised andmed
- Raam
- Aluminium (360 dirt-jump hardtail, Category 5 rated; 720 full-sus uses mixed 7005 & 6061 alloy). Carbon on the CFR Trial street-trials build (1,700 g frame with polymer-fibre reinforcement).
- Kahvel
- Manitou Circus, 100 mm travel (standard Stitched 360); RockShox Pike DJ, 100 mm (Stitched 360 CLLCTV and Stitched 720). All 26" dirt-jump forks with 20×110 mm thru-axle.
- Jõuülekanne
- Singlespeed 30×11T. RaceFace Aeffect cranks on the standard 360; SRAM/Truvativ Descendant cranks on the CLLCTV and 720. Single front chainring, dropout chain tensioner — no derailleur.
- Pidurid
- Single rear hydraulic/mechanical disc brake (no front brake) with a custom short Canyon lever — standard on the new 360. Magura MT7 on the CFR Trial. Older STCHD builds used SRAM Level T with a 160 mm Centerline rotor.
- Rattad
- 26" (360 and 720); 24" on the CFR Trial street-trials build. New 360 uses Canyon Stitched wheelset; CLLCTV gets DT Swiss DJ 370 hubs; older builds used Alexrims FR30 on Stitched hubs (20×110 front / 9×135 rear).
- Rehvid
- Maxxis DTH 2.3–2.35" (Stitched 360 / 720, dirt-jump slick); 720 pairs a Maxxis Ikon 2.35" front with DTH rear. Continental Air King on the CFR Trial.
- Vedrustus
- Hardtail with 100 mm front fork (Stitched 360 — pure dirt-jump/pump-track). Full suspension on the Stitched 720: 100 mm progressive rear travel via a RockShox Monarch RT shock for slopestyle.
- Rooliplokk
- RaceFace Chester 780 mm riser bar with 40 mm stem; tough Canyon G5 grips; short 27.2 × 260 mm Canyon aluminium seatpost. CFR Trial runs a full SQlab signature cockpit.
- Sadul
- Canyon Stitched saddle on a short non-dropper Canyon aluminium 27.2 × 260 mm seatpost — slammed low, as is standard on dirt-jump bikes.
- Geomeetria
- Stitched 360: 68.5° head angle, two sizes — S/L with 400/417 mm reach, 427–432 mm chainstays, ~1038/1055 mm wheelbase, low BB. The 2025 model is longer, lower, slacker than before. Stitched 720 (slopestyle, Medium-only): 69° head angle, 430 mm reach, 397 mm chainstays, 556 mm stack.
- Kaal
- Stitched 360 ≈ 11.6 kg (standard) / 11.1 kg (CLLCTV). Stitched CFR Trial 9.95 kg (carbon street-trials build, 1,700 g frame).
Verdikt
- Exceptional frame strength — the new 360 is built to Canyon's Category 5 standard, the toughest frame the brand makes, ideal for repeated hard dirt-jump and slopestyle landings.
- Strong direct-to-consumer value: a complete dirt jumper from €1,099 (360) with a Manitou Circus fork, undercutting most shop-bought rivals on spec-per-euro.
- Two reach options (S/L) on the 360 plus the updated longer/lower/slacker geometry let riders dial fit for technical pumping or bigger, more stable jump lines.
- Clean, purpose-built singlespeed setup with a dropout chain tensioner — low maintenance, nothing to snag, and the BB-box keeps the bottom bracket stiff.
- Broad, coherent range: hardtail 360 for jumps/pump, full-suspension 720 for slopestyle, carbon CFR Trial for street trials — one platform covering three disciplines.
- Single, niche purpose: a slammed seatpost, singlespeed gearing and one rear brake make it useless for trail riding, commuting or any seated pedalling — buyers must already want a dirt jumper.
- Direct-to-consumer model means no local shop fit/test ride; the rider must self-assess size (S vs L) and assemble/tune the bike out of the box.
- 26" wheel/tire and dirt-jump-specific parts (e.g. 20×110 front, 9×135 rear hubs) limit cross-compatibility with modern boost trail components.
- 100 mm of travel and slopestyle geometry feel harsh and twitchy on rough natural trails — it is built for smooth man-made jumps, not chunky descents.
- Limited spec choice and frequent sold-out status (Canyon stock model) can make it hard to actually buy the variant or size you want when you want it.
