Tähis 'SL' Neuron sarjas ei viita erinevale kergemale süsinikraamile (nagu Spectral või Lux sarjades), vaid tähistab 'Super Light' tipptasemel komponentide komplekte (süsinikrattad, juhtmevaba käiguvahetus), mis on kinnitatud standardsele CF raamile. Põlvkond 1 (2019-2022): Standardse Neuron CF tipptasemel 'SL' varustusega versioonid. Põlvkond 2 (2023-...): Ühtib 2023 Neuron geomeetria uuendusega, kuid kasutab tipptasemel komponente, et kaal langeda XC taseme lähedale.

- Powerful SRAM Code RSC brakes (200/180 mm) give descending confidence well above its travel class
- Quick-rolling, efficient and light (13.11 kg M, CF 9 SL) — covers ground fast and pedals like a downcountry bike
- True all-rounder geometry after the 2023 update — handles a wide variety of trails and rider sizes
- Reasonable spec-for-money on the SL builds (carbon wheels, AXS wireless, Factory Fox)
−Nõrkused
- 130/140 mm frame has limits on genuinely demanding/rough terrain — not an enduro bike
- Stiff carbon handlebars transmit vibration and fatigue hands on longer descents (BikeRadar)
- Stock Schwalbe SpeedGrip tyres underperform in wet, greasy conditions
- Suspension needs careful tuning to reach full travel out of the box
- Hard to justify the SL price premium — the cheaper CF 8 uses the identical frame for ~90% of the performance
