Algupära
2019. aastal turule tulnud Cannondale CAAD13 on nende legendaarse 'Cannondale Advanced Aluminum Design' seeria uusim versioon. See on positsioneeritud kui suure jõudlusega sulamist maanteeratas, mis on loodud pakkuma sõidukogemust ja aerodünaamilist profiili, mis konkureerib paljude süsinikkiust konkurentidega soodsama hinnapunkti juures. Tuntud oma tuult lõikavate torukujude, mugava SAVE mikrosuspensioonisüsteemi ja võistluskeskse geomeetria poolest, on CAAD13 tunnistus täiustatud alumiiniumraami ehitamisest. - Full-carbon. CAAD13: BallisTec / SAVE carbon, 12x100 thru-axle, flat-mount disc, 55mm offset (small) / 45mm (large). CAAD14: full-carbon Delta-steerer design, blind thru-axle dropout, ~397 g.

- CAAD13: Shimano 105 / Ultegra (mech & Di2) or SRAM Rival/Force, 2x11/2x12, Cannondale 1 cranks 52/36, 11-30 cassette. CAAD14 (2026): CAAD14 3 = Shimano 105 R7100 12-sp; CAAD14 2 = SRAM Rival AXS; CAAD14 1 = SRAM Force XPLR AXS w/ power meter.

- Hydraulic disc, flat-mount, 160/140 mm rotors. CAAD13 Disc 105 = Shimano 105 hydraulic disc. CAAD14 builds use Shimano 105 / SRAM Rival / SRAM Force hydraulic disc per groupset. (Rim-brake CAAD13 frameset also existed.)

- 700c. CAAD13 105: Cannondale RD 2.0 alloy on Formula hubs, 19mm internal (not tubeless on base build). CAAD14: RD 2.0 Disc / Shimano TC500 (model 3), DT Swiss E1800 (model 2), Reserve 57|64 carbon w/ DT Swiss 370 LN hubs (model 1).

- CAAD13: Vittoria Zaffiro Pro Slick 700x25, clearance up to 30mm. CAAD14: Vittoria Zaffiro/Rubino Pro IV 28mm (models 3/2), Vittoria Corsa Pro TLR 29mm (model 1); clearance up to 32mm.
- Vedrustus
- Rigid road bike (no suspension). CAAD13 adds SAVE micro-suspension flex zones / dropped seatstays for compliance; CAAD14 drops the dropped-stay design for stiffness-focused round tubes.
- Rooliplokk
- CAAD13: alloy Cannondale 3 bar + stem (standard 2-piece). CAAD14: 27.2mm round seatpost w/ external collar; models 2/3 use Vision Trimax bar + Cannondale C1 Conceal stem, model 1 uses one-piece Momo-designed SystemBar R-One.

- CAAD13 Disc 105: Prologo Nago RS STN. Seatpost 27.2mm round (CAAD14 retains externally-clamped 27.2mm post).

- CAAD13 Disc 105 complete ~9.1 kg (54cm). CAAD14 1 top-spec complete 8.14 kg (56cm); CAAD14 frame 1280 g raw / 1410 g painted.
Verdikt
- Exciting, lively ride quality and razor-sharp, direct handling that responds instantly to inputs (both generations).
- Outstanding value — alloy frame delivering near-carbon performance at a far lower price (CAAD14 from €2,499).
- Explosive acceleration and stiff, efficient power transfer prized by sprinters and club racers.
- CAAD14's threaded 68mm BSA BB and wide 32mm tyre clearance make it durable and mechanic-friendly.
- Light for alloy: CAAD14 1 complete ~8.14 kg; raw frame 1280 g.
- Limited compliance — the stiffness-focused CAAD14 frame can feel harsh on rough roads.
- Heavier and less refined than carbon rivals on base builds (CAAD13 105 ~9.1 kg).
- CAAD14 drops mudguard mounts, hurting winter-training / commuting versatility that CAAD13 offered.
- Top-spec CAAD14 1 at €7,499 is seen as steep given the alloy frame and component mix.
- Base CAAD13 wheels are not tubeless-ready and paint/welds look utilitarian; CAAD14 lacks the latest aero cockpit/optimisation of the SuperSix EVO.
