Tarmac SL8

- Geomeetria
- Aggressive race geometry, identical across all trims per size. 7 sizes (44-61 cm). Size 56: 73.5° head angle, 395 mm reach, 562 mm stack, 410 mm chainstays, 996 mm wheelbase, 72 mm BB drop. Same geometry as Tarmac SL7.

Verdikt
- True one-bike race platform: climber-light yet aero — 685 g S-Works frame and ~6.7-6.8 kg complete build, while ~16.6 s faster over 40 km than the SL7
- Race-proven at the highest level — Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step) and Bora-Hansgrohe debuted and won on it at the 2023 Worlds and Tour de France
- 32 mm tire clearance plus round 27.2 mm seatpost gives genuine all-road versatility and comfort unusual for a pure race bike
- Roval Rapide CLX II 51/60 mm wheels are widely praised — aero depth that still climbs well
- Threaded BSA bottom bracket is service-friendly and resists the creak of press-fit designs
- Very expensive — S-Works trims reach €13-14k, top bracket even among flagship race bikes
- Disc-brake and electronic-shifting only across the whole range; no mechanical or rim-brake option even at entry trims
- Roval Rapide one-piece cockpit (S-Works/Pro) uses proprietary integrated headset bearings — replacements are dealer-only and limit fit adjustment
- Hookless tubeless rims restrict tire choice to approved models and cap pressure at ~73 psi / 5 bar
- Pro (FACT 10r) to S-Works (12r) jump is mostly frame weight and wheelset — reviewers question the €4-5k value delta
