Algupära
Alma on Orbea puhtaim võistlusmasin. Kuigi täisvedrustusega Oiz on kasutusel enamikul maailma karikavõistluste radadel, jääb Alma siledatele, tõusurohketele maratonivõistlustele. Et hoida seda asjakohasena, konstrueeris Orbea paindumise ülemisse torusse ja istmetugedesse, et neelata kõrgsageduslikku vibratsiooni. 5. põlvkond (2021–praeguseni): OMX süsinikraami kasutuselevõtt kaaluga vaid 830g, uuendatud geomeetria (68 kraadine peatoru nurk) ja rehvimõõdu 2.4 mahutavus.

- X-Fader pentagonal rear triangle adds real seated comfort with minimal weight penalty.
- Modern race geometry (67° head angle, 425 mm chainstays) is more capable on descents than older XC hardtails.
- MyO custom program lets buyers tune build and paint; clean integration (UDH, internal routing, integrated cockpit).
- Up-to-date XC kit across tiers — SRAM Eagle Transmission / Shimano XT, 2.4" tire clearance, OQUO wheels.

- Carbon-only for 2025 — no alloy version, so there is no truly affordable entry into the range.
- Hardtail with only 110 mm front travel; rough, rocky and steep technical descents punish rider and bike.
- Premium pricing — the M-LTD reaches €7,999 / $8,499, expensive for a bike with no rear suspension.
- Frame-engineered compliance is subtle; it is not a substitute for a dropper-equipped trail bike on demanding terrain.
- Race-focused fit and components mean it is overkill (and uncomfortable) for casual or commuter use.
