Algupära

BMC Speedmachine oli BMC lipulaev triatlonis ja ajasõidurataste seas, mis lasti turule umbes 2004. aastal. See oli loodud aerodünaamilise tõhususe ja jäikuse tagamiseks, omades alumiiniumraami ja sageli varustatud Shimano Ultegra või Dura-Ace komponentidega. Ratas püüdis konkureerida turu kõrge jõudlusega segmendis, pakkudes kiiruse ja stabiilsuse segu tõsistele triatleetidele ja ajasõitjatele. Kuigi seda enam ei toodeta, esindas see BMC varajast sisenemist pühendatud aero-rataste turule ja sillutas teed nende hilisematele Time Machine mudelitele. See oli tuntud oma agressiivse sõiduasendi ja integreeritud funktsioonide poolest.
