Xiaomi has been the volume leader in consumer electric scooters since the original Mi Electric Scooter (M365) in 2016 turned a niche gadget into a mass-market commuting tool — it became the reference design that dozens of rental fleets and rival brands copied. The '4' series, announced in 2022, was Xiaomi's move to a tiered line-up: a standard 4, a longer-range Pro, a flagship Ultra, and — at the bottom — the 4 Lite.
