Tehnilised andmed

Raam
Liv Advanced-grade composite (carbon), women's-specific gravel layup and tube shaping
Kahvel
Liv Advanced-grade composite, full-composite OverDrive steerer, 12x100mm thru-axle, flat-mount disc, rigid (no suspension). Advanced Pro uses lighter/stiffer Advanced SL-grade composite fork.
Jõuülekanne
By trim: Advanced 2 — Shimano GRX RX610 2x12 mechanical; Advanced 1 — SRAM Apex XPLR 1x12 mechanical (11-44T); Advanced Pro — SRAM Force AXS E1 2x12 wireless electronic. (2026 also lists an Advanced 0 with Shimano GRX 800.)
Pidurid
Hydraulic disc, flat-mount, 160/160mm rotors. Advanced 2 — Shimano GRX BR-RX410; Advanced 1 — SRAM Apex; Advanced Pro — SRAM Force AXS.
Rattad
700c, tubeless ready. Advanced 1/2 — Giant P-X2 Disc alloy rims on Giant alloy 12mm thru-axle hubs; Advanced Pro — Giant CXR 1 carbon wheelset, 35mm depth.
Rehvid
Advanced 1/2 — Giant Crosscut Grip 700x45c tubeless; Advanced Pro — CADEX GX 700x40c foldable tubeless. Frame max 53mm (long flip-chip) / 45mm (short).
Vedrustus
Rigid (no suspension fork/shock). Compliance comes from the D-Fuse seatpost + D-Fuse handlebar system that flex to damp vibration; Advanced 1 adds a Post Moderne dropper with 30mm of suspension travel.
Rooliplokk
Giant Contact XR D-Fuse handlebar (alloy on Advanced 1/2, composite SLR on Pro), 31.8mm clamp, 5° back sweep, slight flare drop (400-420mm by size); Giant Contact stem (50-80mm by size).
Sadul
Liv Grit women's-specific gravel saddle (Liv Grit SL on Advanced Pro). Seatpost: Giant D-Fuse composite (Advanced 2) / D-Fuse SLR composite (Pro); Advanced 1 substitutes a Post Moderne dropper.
Geomeetria
4 sizes XS-L cover approximately 150-181cm / 4'11"-5'11" rider height range per Liv official sizing. XS targets sub-160cm — important because most unisex gravel platforms start at S (~158cm) and leave shorter riders without a true fit. Women's-specific gravel/adventure (shorter reach + taller stack vs Giant Revolt of equivalent size) Liv designs frames using women's anthropometric data: shorter upper body proportional to leg length, different weight distribution affecting centre of gravity, narrower shoulders, smaller average hand span. Translates to shorter top tube, taller head tube, narrower bar widths (400-420mm vs 420-440mm unisex), shorter crank lengths (165-172.5mm scaled by frame size). Per-size reach/stack and full geo table available on Liv's product pages but not extracted into this node — verified against fit by riders 150-181cm tall. XS/S/M/L wheel-size strategy is 700c throughout (no 650b option, unlike some women's gravel competitors).
Kaal
Advanced Pro ~8.2-8.4 kg (S/M, without pedals) per reviewer measurement; Liv does not publish frame/build weights — recommends dealer weighing per built size.

Verdikt

+Tugevused
  • Women's-specific geometry with real anthropometric backing — shorter reach, taller stack, narrower bars, shorter cranks scaled per size Liv is one of few brands still persisting with a wholehearted belief in drawing up bikes with women's specific geometry (Cyclingweekly)
  • D-Fuse system — composite/alloy bar + composite seatpost both flex to damp vibration. Effective on long mixed-surface rides The D-Fuse seatpost and handlebar were designed to function as a system to absorb shocks and vibrations from various surfaces (Liv)
  • Flip-chip dropout — switches between 45mm tyre / quicker handling and 53mm tyre / longer wheelbase. Real versatility for mixed-use riders
  • Comfort + capability — Liv Grit (women's-specific) saddle praised, integrated down-tube storage useful, frame responsive without harshness The Liv Approach saddle is one of the comfiest perches I've ridden (BikeRadar)
  • XS fit option (down to ~150cm) — most unisex gravel platforms don't accommodate sub-160cm riders properly
  • Dealer-supported (Giant/Liv network) — test rides + fit consultation + warranty service in person, unlike D2C-only competitors (Canyon, Ribble)
  • Bikepacking-ready — rack/mudguard mounts + 3 cargo cage mounts + integrated down-tube storage out of the box
Nõrkused
  • Stock bar tape can feel rough on bare palms — easy aftermarket swap but noted in reviews Handlebar tape felt rough on my palms after a few miles (BikeRadar)
  • Liv published weight figures absent — relies on dealer weighing per built size, hard to compare on paper against competitors
  • Advanced 1's Post Moderne dropper replaces the D-Fuse seatpost — buyers wanting both D-Fuse damping and dropper functionality cannot have it from stock (would need aftermarket).
  • Advanced Pro at $7,000 — premium pricing approaches male race gravel bike territory. Hard sell vs unisex SRAM Force AXS gravel at similar money (Giant Revolt Advanced Pro, Specialized Diverge Pro)
  • D-Fuse flare drop is subtle (5°) — riders coming from aggressive flared bars (Salsa Cowchipper, Curve Walmer) may find it conservative The degree of flare was barely noticeable (Cyclingweekly)
  • 4 sizes (XS/S/M/L) — narrower than Giant Revolt Advanced unisex (XS-XL across 5-6 sizes). Riders 178cm+ tall may find L cramped or need to size up to Revolt instead

01
If you're shorter than 160cm: the Devote Advanced XS is genuinely fit-engineered for you, not retrofitted. Most unisex gravel platforms (Trek Checkpoint, Specialized Diverge, Cannondale Topstone) start at S ~158cm and leave shorter riders without a true-fit option. This is one of the strongest cases for Liv.
02
Advanced 2 ($2,800) is the value sweet spot — same Advanced-grade composite frame as Advanced 1 and Pro, Shimano GRX RX610 2x12 mechanical (reliable, well-supported, easy to service at any Shimano dealer). You're paying for the frame architecture, and it's the same architecture across the lineup.
03
Advanced 1 vs Advanced 2: the difference is SRAM Apex XPLR 1x12 + Post Moderne dropper vs Shimano GRX RX610 2x12 + D-Fuse rigid post. If you do rougher gravel and want a dropper, Advanced 1 is the buy. If you do mixed pavement/gravel and value D-Fuse damping + 2x gearing range, Advanced 2 is the buy. Most riders won't need both gear ranges if they ride pure gravel.
04
Advanced Pro at $7,000 is justifiable only if you're committed to SRAM Force AXS E1 wireless + Advanced SL fork + CADEX wheelset. Otherwise Advanced 1 + aftermarket Force AXS upgrade ends up cheaper and gives you a dropper, which the Pro doesn't ship with stock.
05
Use flip-chip long position for bikepacking/wide-tyre adventure (53mm clearance + longer chainstay = stability under load). Use flip-chip short position for mixed road/gravel days (45mm tyre + 430mm chainstay = quicker handling). Most owners pick one and leave it — but knowing the option exists is the point.
06
D-Fuse seatpost crack inspection on used Devote Advanced: look at the flat back face for any visible cracks or stress marks. The flat section is by design — but real damage will show as a hairline crack across the flat. If unsure, replace with a known-good D-Fuse (Liv/Giant aftermarket).
07
Used market in Baltics is thin — expect to import from Germany/NL/UK if no local listing matches your size. Giant/Liv warranty does cross borders within EU, so importing is fine but factor shipping €100-200 and possible customs depending on origin.
08
Compare with unisex Canyon Grizl CF — €500-1,000 cheaper at equivalent groupset tier (D2C model), but no dealer support, no women's-specific finishing kit, and standard reach/stack. Trade-off is: Liv = fit + dealer; Canyon = price + DIY.
