Algupära
Kona introduced the Process line in 2014 as the brand's full-suspension trail platform, and it quickly became one of the industry's pace-setters for progressive geometry. At a time when most trail bikes had 70°+ head angles, Kona pushed the Process to 65° and longer reach, helping ignite the geometry revolution of the mid-2010s. The G3 generation (2025) refines the single-pivot linkage, adds a flip chip for mullet compatibility, and brings UDH compliance for SRAM Transmission shifting.

Tehnilised andmed
- Raam
- Kona 6061 Aluminum Butted (base); full carbon front and rear triangle on CR / CR DL variants. The Process 153 uses 153mm rear travel, Process 134 uses 134mm rear travel. All G3 frames feature a linkage-driven single-pivot with flip chip at the seatstay/rocker — keeps geometry constant whether running full 29" or mullet (27.5" rear).
- Kahvel
- Process 153: RockShox Yari RC Motion Control DebonAir 160mm, tapered, 110mm spacing. Process 134 base: RockShox Recon RL Solo Air 140mm. CR models: Fox Float 34 Performance 140mm.
- Jõuülekanne
- Base builds: Microshift Advent X 1x10, 11-48t; FSA Comet crankset, 30t chainring. CR builds: SRAM GX Eagle 1x12, 10-52t. UDH (SRAM Transmission-compatible) on G3 frames.
- Pidurid
- Base: SRAM DB8 hydraulic disc, 200mm front / 180mm rear Centerline rotors. CR/DL builds: SRAM G2 R or Code R, 200mm rotors front and rear.
- Rattad
- 29" (size S ships 27.5" rear mullet). Boost spacing: 110x15mm front, 148x12mm rear. Rims: WTB ST i30 TCS 2.0 (base) or WTB KOM Team i30 TCS (CR). ISCG05 tabs on all frames.
- Rehvid
- Maxxis Assegai EXO TR DUAL 29x2.5" front, Maxxis Minion DHR II EXO TR DUAL 29x2.4" rear (standard Process 153 build).
- Vedrustus
- Full-suspension linkage-driven single-pivot. Process 153: 153mm rear / 160mm front. Process 134: 134mm rear / 140mm front. Rear shock: RockShox Deluxe Select Plus Trunnion (base builds). Mullet-ready flip chip lets S-size ship as mullet from factory; other sizes swap via chip.
- Geomeetria
- Process 153 (XL): head angle 64.5°, seat tube angle 76.9°, reach 515mm, stack 635mm, chainstay 435mm (constant across sizes). Modern-but-approachable geometry — aggressive enough for enduro, not as extreme as dedicated enduro bikes.

Verdikt
+Tugevused
- Excellent capability for its travel class — handles large hits with composure that belies the numbers
- Flip-chip mullet compatibility adds versatility without geometry compromise
- Strong value and clear alloy-to-carbon build ladder across a wide price range
−Nõrkused
- Jack-of-all-trades character means it rarely excels in any single discipline
- Base alloy build's 10-speed Microshift drivetrain and budget fork are upgrade-priority components
- Carbon CR/DL pricing is steep at $5,099 for a 153mm trail bike
