Inmotion (asutatud 2012. aastal Shenzhenis, Hiinas) ehitas oma varase maine esmaklassiliste elektriliste üherattaliste (V-seeria) baasil, võites väikese, kuid lojaalse ülemaailmse järgijaskonna tänu ehituskvaliteedile ja uuenduslikule inseneritööle. - Color touchscreen display — a clear feature differentiator vs Segway/Xiaomi LED dot matrices. Makes settings, ride mode change, and diagnostics significantly more user-friendly.
- Premium build quality at mid-range price — metal kickstand, metal fold hook, premium plastic finish. Hardware ages noticeably better than Segway G30's plastic-heavy build over 1-3 years.
- Lighter than Segway G30 by 1.7 kg (17 kg vs 18.7 kg) — meaningful difference for apartment dwellers and public-transport users who need to lift the scooter daily.
- Sportier ride feel — front-hub motor and lower-CoG battery placement in stem give a more responsive, planted feel under acceleration than Xiaomi class. Appeals to riders who want 'scooter that feels alive' rather than 'commuter appliance'.
- Sealed drum rear brake (same enclosed-design advantage as Segway G30) — performs reliably in wet/dirty Baltic conditions.

- Tubed tires (not tubeless self-sealing like Segway G30) — punctures require full tube replacement, not just sealant. Compensates with easier mounting for DIY swaps.
- Front-hub motor loses traction on wet starts more readily than rear-drive scooters. Not a major safety issue but a noticeable handling difference vs Segway G30's rear-drive setup.
- Smaller Baltic dealer network — fewer than 5 confirmed primary dealers across EE/LV/LT in 2025-2026. Spare parts (tires, brake cables, fold hook) less readily stocked than Segway/Xiaomi. Most parts require ordering from inmotionworld.com EU shop or specialised PEV retailers (eScooterShop.ee, Skuteri.lv).
- Inmotion app is functional but less polished than Segway-Ninebot — region change, cell diagnostics, theft alarm all present but less prominent.
- Cold weather range loss is severe — Baltic winter sub-zero drops range 30-50%. Same issue as all 18650 Li-ion scooters. Below -10°C, expect closer to 50% range loss.
- 5 hour charge time is moderate — faster than Segway G30 (6h) but slower than some 18650 competitors with higher-wattage chargers.

Seadus & registreerimine
All three Baltic states recognise EU-spec Inmotion S1 as a personal light electric vehicle. Helmet, alcohol, and minimum-age rules differ. Firmware unlocking to 30 km/h via app region change is technically possible but illegal in EE/LV/LT.
