Algupära
The Edict is Felt's cross-country full-suspension racer, and its signature is FAST — Felt Active Stay Technology. Instead of a conventional pivoting rear linkage, FAST uses carbon's spring properties: a leaf-spring-style seatstay combined with a single lower pivot delivers 100 mm of travel while keeping the back end light, laterally stiff and pedal-efficient. The redesign trimmed a full pound, added 15% stiffness, went 1x-specific and dropper-compatible, slackened the head angle 1.5 degrees, and opened clearance for 2.4in tires — a modern XC race bike that climbs like a hardtail but tracks like a full-susser.

Tehnilised andmed
- Raam
- Carbon; new generation ~450 g lighter and 15% stiffer than its predecessor; internal cable routing, 1x-specific design, dropper-compatible, Boost spacing
- Kahvel
- 100 mm-travel XC fork (e.g. RockShox SID-class, build-dependent)
- Jõuülekanne
- 1x12 XC drivetrain — SRAM or Shimano (build-dependent)
- Pidurid
- Hydraulic disc
- Rattad
- 29in tubeless-ready (also offered in 27.5in on some sizes/years)
- Rehvid
- XC race tires up to 2.4in clearance
- Vedrustus
- Full-suspension 100 mm rear via FAST (Felt Active Stay Technology): a carbon leaf-spring seatstay plus a single lower pivot, keeping the rear end light, stiff and active; bearing metric shock with an improved leverage curve
- Geomeetria
- Modern XC geometry — head angle slackened 1.5 deg to 70 deg for more descending control
- Kaal
- Redesign cut a full pound (~450 g) versus the prior generation

Verdikt
+Tugevused
- FAST suspension is light, stiff and very efficient under power
- Significantly lighter and stiffer after the redesign
- Modern touches: 1x, dropper-ready, slacker angle, 2.4in clearance
−Nõrkused
- 100 mm of XC travel limits it on aggressive trail and enduro terrain
- Leaf-spring FAST design offers less tuning range than a linkage bike
- Carbon race frame sits at a premium price
