Ultimate on Canyon'i kõige pikema ajalooga süsinikuratta võidusõiduratas, mis esitleti Eurobike'il 2004. aastal kui brändi esimene süsinikust maanteeraam. Teine põlvkond 2007. aastal tõi sümmeetrilise istmetoru ja Canyon Engineered Parts komponendid; Austraallane Baden Cooke oli originaaliga võitnud 2007. aasta Tour Down Underi ning Cadel Evans sõitis kuulsalt teise põlvkonna Ultimate'iga 2009. aasta maailmameistrivõistlustel Mendrisios võidule. Viie põlvkonna jooksul on platvorm järjepidevalt võitnud kõrgeimal tasemel — kolm Grand Tour'i tiitlit ja kaks maailmameistritiitlit vastavalt Canyon'i enda turundusele, kusjuures praegune platvorm on ehitatud 780 g CFR raami ümber, kasutades Toray T1100/T800 + M40X kiudu. 2026. aasta põlvkond on positsioneeritud kui ronimisele keskenduv universaalne maanteeratas Canyon'i maanteesari: Aeroad'ist kergem ja mugavam, Endurace'ist kiirem. Verdikt
- Exceptional value — CF SLX builds deliver near-CFR handling and stiffness at a markedly lower direct-to-consumer price
- Genuine all-rounder: light enough to climb, sharpened 5th-gen geometry that matches the Aeroad at key points, and ~10 W more aero than the previous generation at 45 km/h
- CF SLX layup is slightly heavier than CFR but rides more comfortably and is no slower overall
- High-end spec for the money — DT Swiss ARC 1400 carbon wheels, integrated/dual-sided power meters and ceramic hybrid bearings standard on upper builds
- Proven WorldTour pedigree (3 Grand Tour titles, 2 World Championships per Canyon)
- Stretched, low, aggressive race position does not suit every body type — less relaxed than the Endurace
- Direct-to-consumer only: no way to customise components at point of purchase, and you must assemble/size the bike yourself
- Front 25c / rear 28c asymmetric tyre spec divides reviewers — many prefer 28c front and rear
- CF SLX frame is marginally heavier than the CFR, so it feels a touch less responsive on the steepest climbs
- Less compliant / more road buzz than plusher rivals like the Merida Scultura; tyre clearance caps at ~32-33 mm, limiting rough-road use
