Algupära

BMC Alpenchallenge AMP toodi turule 2019. aastal kui BMC sisenes tipptasemel elektriliste maanteerataste segmenti. Selle eesmärk oli ühendada traditsioonilise maanteeratta jõudlus ja esteetika elektrimootori abiga, sihtides konkreetselt rattureid, kes soovisid püsida tõusudel või pikendada oma sõiduulatust ilma maanteeratta tunde ohverdamata. Sellel on kerge süsinikkiust raam ja integreeritud mootorisüsteem, mis teeb selle märkimisväärseks oma diskreetse võimsuse edastamise ja puhta disaini poolest. Viimaste teadaolevate uuenduste seisuga jääb see BMC jõudlusega elektrirataste valikusse, teenindades nõudlikke maanteerattureid, kes otsivad abistatud sõidukogemust.

  • Very expensive (£5,600 carbon City; ~£3,150 AL Sport) — reviewers struggled to justify the price vs cheaper rivals
  • Sluggish off the mark in Eco mode, often forcing the rider into Normal to reach the cut-off speed
  • Hunched, sporty riding position with a non-adjustable ICS stem limits fit customisation
  • Largely rigid ride (only 10 mm micro-travel on some trims) is harsh on rough surfaces
  • 504 Wh battery feels modest for the price, and the charge port is awkwardly placed opposite the kickstand
