Algupära
The Quip was designed as a radical rethink of the Dutch city bike — instead of bolting carriers onto a conventional frame, the carriers are structurally integrated into the seat tube via a split-tube design. Launched around 2015, it won the prestigious GIO Industrial Design Award 2015 (with a Special Award for Originality) and the Dutch National Bicycle Test 2016, making it one of the most recognised Dutch city bikes of the mid-2010s. The concept later grew into the Quip Extra Cargo platform for heavier transport use.
